Biography

James serves as the Market President for Centennial Bank in Pensacola. He has a long history in commercial lending and has financed over $2 billion in projects along the Gulf Coast and Southeast.  

James formerly served as Vice President for Florida First Capital Finance Corporation and Chief Operating Officer for Martin Construction. Additionally, he is a partner in a technology company, Accountingfly.com. He is a member of the SBDC Network’s “Lenders Hall of Fame” and was named as one of Florida Trend magazine’s “Trendsetters: Today and Beyond.” 

He currently serves on a number of boards and is the Chair of UWF's Foundation Board, Chair of the Sacred Heart Foundation Board and Chair of NAIOP NWFL. He has served as a mentor with the UWF Executive Mentor Program for the past 11 years and is also a mentor for The Spring Entrepreneur Hub. He has previously held leadership positions on a number of local boards including the President and founding member of Seville Rotary, President and founding member of Pensacola Young Professionals, President of Manna Food Pantry, Chair of the Escambia County Fire Services Citizens Advisory Counsel, Treasurer of Episcopal Day School Board of Directors and Vice-chair of the Pensacola Museum of Art. He has logged thousands of hours volunteering for numerous organizations around NW Florida and Pensacola.
