Biography

Kay McWhirter received her bachelor’s from the University of South Alabama and her two master degrees from Indiana University. Ms. McWhirter has held various clinical, academic and administrative roles in the field of psychiatric nursing. She has served the community of Pensacola in her clinical role as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry since 1990. Lieutenant Colonel McWhirter served her country in the Army Nurse Corps for fourteen years and is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. 

Ms. McWhirter has been a member of the University of West Florida team since 2011.
