Biography

I am grateful for the opportunity to support CAPS’ mission of providing the highest quality comprehensive mental health services to foster the success of UWF students.

I have acquired substantial experience in culturally sensitive psychotherapy with both individuals and groups from the diversity of clients I have seen, as well as from my extensive child and youth volunteer experience.

I also possess a diverse range of experiences working with a variety of people as a mental health counselor, a church volunteer and a civil engineer. I have a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana) and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University.

My approach to counseling is client-centered and integrative. Thus, in keeping with best practice, my theory and methods with any given client are informed by the client’s presenting problem and their therapeutic goals. As such, I utilize a range of therapeutic frameworks to assist a client to the best of my ability. Hence, I look forward to working with all UWF students to achieve their counseling goals.
