The University of West Florida’s MSW curriculum provides a strong theoretical foundation complemented by field work that prepares graduates for a variety of social work settings. The field instruction component of the curriculum offers students the opportunity to put their classroom learning into practice while under close professional supervision.

The program offers both fast-track and traditional options, allowing those who hold a bachelor of social work to matriculate through the Advanced Standing track, while students who do not hold a BSW may choose the Traditional track to complete necessary foundational coursework.

This program meets educational course requirements for licensure as a clinical social worker in the state of Florida and is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

UWF programs offered at the Pensacola campus or UWF Emerald Coast may require online courses. Discuss the program requirements and planning with your academic advisor.
