Center for Academic Success

The Center for Academic Success provides collaborative student support services designed to empower students to become independent and active learners who thrive at UWF and achieve their academic goals.

First Year Advising
Freshman, First-Time-in-College, and Undeclared students are assigned to a specific advisor in First Year Advising to assist with academic goal setting, degree planning, and initial course registration before being transitioned to academic advisors in the major departments.

TRiO Student Support Services
TRiO Student Support Services are for first-generation, minimal-income, or disabled students who may qualify to be part of the federally funded program. Resources include individualized academic support, leadership programming, and scholarship opportunities.

Tutoring and Learning Resources
Tutoring and Learning Resources provides learning and study skills development and subject-based tutoring free to UWF students.
