Navigating Research with Argos
Navigating Research with Argos Workshops Series: Undergraduate research students or those wanting to get started in research are encouraged to join OUR for monthly professional development workshops! The spring sessions will focus on communicating your research. The next session, Communicating Your Research to Various Audiences, is on Friday, February 28, at 10 a.m. in Building 41, Room 136 (Psychology Building), and via Zoom. It is open to all majors; no registration is needed for in-person attendees. Virtual participants can register via Google Forms. Save the dates for the remaining sessions:

Undergraduate Research Transcript Notation
Spring 2025 graduates must apply by March 1. Graduating undergraduate students who have participated in research may be eligible to include this experience on their official UWF transcript and receive a medallion to wear at graduation. Please visit this page to learn more.

OUR Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP)
OUR SURP applications are now open! This is an opportunity for eligible undergraduate research students to get paid for doing their research over the summer semester.
Program Goals:
- Provide support for undergrad student research
- Build strong, long-lasting relationships between students and faculty
- Build research skills that can be utilized and strengthened throughout the degree plan and career
Some Expectations:
Students selected to participate in SURP can anticipate working approximately an average of 17 to 20 hours per week for 6 OR 12 weeks working on a research project under the close supervision of a faculty mentor. *Note: HMCSE students are only eligible for the 12-week participation option. Participants should not enroll in more than one summer course. SURP participants each a stipend of $1560 (120 maximum total hours at anticipated Florida minimum wage per hour for 6-week participants) or $3,120 (240 maximum total hours at anticipated Florida minimum wage per hour for 12-week participants).
