Biography

Kay Tappan is the Graduate Assistant for the Office of Institutional Communications and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. 

Kay holds a Master of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of Florida. She served as a lecturer in the Department of Public Relations at the UF College of Journalism and Communications for six years, where she developed and taught courses in visual communication and served as the faculty advisor for the Public Relations Student Society of America. 

After returning to her hometown of Pensacola in 2018, Kay taught courses in the UWF Department of Communication and then worked as the Communications Manager for the UWF College of Education and Professional Studies. She received her Accreditation in Public Relations in 2017.

Kay enjoys spending time at the beach with her partner, Laurence, and their son, Wyatt.
