Biography

Dr. Xingang Fang, a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, has received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Emory University and his M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of West Florida (UWF). He has been teaching computer science and chemistry courses at UWF for many years as a postdoc or an adjunct instructor. As an experienced researcher, he has worked as a researcher at both UWF and the Scripps Research Institute on various computer science and medicinal chemistry topics. He is currently pursuing a computer science Ph.D. degree at Florida State University focusing on the research of I/O optimizations in deep learning on high-performance computation and supercomputer systems.
