The Workplace Flexibility Program Manual is a guideline for both the supervisor and the employee interested in flex scheduling or remote work.  Both of these programs are intended to create flexible conditions that will enhance the capability of both the employee and the University to meet/exceed the stated goals and objectives more effectively.

You can find the following forms on MyUWF:
  • Flexible Work Schedule Request Form
  • Remote Work Request Form

  • Please be sure to review your office procedure for closing and securing offices.
  • Instructions for leave reporting for each emergency closing will be posted to the Human Resources homepage.
  • Remember to bring your leave reports and timesheets up-to-date prior to your departure.
  • Please print out a copy of the Insurance Contact Information details.
  • Be sure to print out a copy of the Workers' Compensation Report of Injury‌ Form.
  • You may want to bookmark the University Police and Environmental Health and Safety web pages.
  • Remember that official information regarding the closing and reopening for University of West Florida employees is FM Radio 88.1 WUWF and the UWF Home Page.

Those who will be on the critical work team during the closing should confirm their contact information is up to date with their supervisor prior to departure and review the emergency Worker’s Compensation Injury reporting process for that period.

Updated recommendations from the CDC regarding the necessity of masks among vaccinated people can be a cause for hugs and celebration, but after more than a year of conscientious compliance with masks, hand sanitizer, and social distancing, some anxiety about going mask-free makes sense!

For some quick help getting more comfortable seeing everyone's beautiful smile again, two self-directed Therapy Assistance Online (TAO) sessions can provide effective strategies for employees. The two sessions are:

  • Facing Your Fears (15 minutes)
  • Exposure (30 minutes)

In Facing Your Fears, employees will explore the relationship between anxiety and avoidance, the pros and cons of avoidance, and what it might be like to stop avoiding a particular situation.

In Exposure, employees will recognize how exposure can help reduce anxiety and build confidence. They'll create their own SUDS (Subjective Units of Distress) hierarchy and come up with a plan to carefully and deliberately face anxiety-provoking situations.

To access TAO, employees will need to register with their UWF account at Therapy Assistance Online. These TAO sessions are free to employees. These modules can be found by clicking on "Browse All Sessions" and searching for the desired module by name, then clicking "Filter".

If you are having technical problems with TAO, please contact support@taoconnect.org.

Effective immediately, OPS Staff/Student Effort Recaps are to be submitted using the "OPS Effort Recap" template in DocuSign. More information and instructions can be found on the Human Resources Time and Leave Reporting web page.

In order to be able to send documents through DocuSign you must take the DocuSign Sender training which is available through SCOOP and be set up as a Sender by ITS. Please refer to the "Obtaining DocuSign Sender Certification" process in Confluence. You will then be able to send an OPS Staff/Student Effort Recap using the “Use a Template” feature in DocuSign. If you have questions, please contact Carol Gentry at 474-2605 or Nicole Zamary at 474-2608.
