Honors Living Learning Community
The Living Learning Community for students in the Kugelman Honors Program.
About the Honors LLC
The Honors Living Learning Community (LLC) is housed in Pace Hall. Kugelman Honors students who plan to live on campus are encouraged to reserve a room in the Kugelman Honors Program's Living-Learning Community in Pace Hall. After their first year, students are welcome to continue to live in the honors community. The LLC is designed to provide Honors Program students with the support and resources they need in order to succeed at UWF. Students are encouraged to attend academic events, community service opportunities, and social activities within the community. In addition, the Kugelman Honors Program staff offices are located on the first floor of Pace Hall for easy access to students.
|Honors Induction||Held on the Friday evening of opening weekend, the Honors Induction ceremony and reception marks the beginning of the Honors experience for students, their families and friends.|
This annual event, which takes place on the Saturday of opening weekend, solidifies the incoming class of Honors students through a day of activities. New students learn about the program, connect with their Honors Mentors, and build excitement for their future in Honors!
|Welcome Back Fall Cookout||All Pace Hall residents are invited to kick-off the academic year with a cookout on Pargo (the lawn between Pace and Argo Hall). Typically held on the Sunday of opening weekend, the cookout is a great way for the Pace community to come together and socialize before classes begin.|
|Welcome Back Spring Event||Each Spring semester, the Honors Program hosts a welcome back event to mark the beginning of the semester. These events vary, ranging from dinner to a scavenger hunt at Gallery Night in downtown Pensacola. Keep an eye out around Pace Hall each January for information about the welcome back event.|
|Honors Council Activities||The Honors Council schedules a variety of service and social activities throughout the year both on and off of campus. All Pace residents are encouraged to attend these events!|
|Argos in Action||Argos in Action is a community service initiative that pairs Pace Hall with a local non-profit agency. This is a great way for students to get involved in the greater Pensacola community.|
