Applied Behavior Analysis
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an effective, research supported, intervention option that increases targeted behaviors and decreases or eliminates behaviors that impede success for any population. ABA is the most promising intervention option to improve success for individuals of any age with developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. The ABA office at UWF coordinates applied research projects throughout the Gulf Coast community by creating community partnerships focusing on intervention and education. Students receive hands-on experience while helping others at the Autism Resource Center and Autism Pensacola.
