Code and Tech Stars
An interactive computer and technology program for girls in grades 4th through 6th.
All about Code and Tech Stars (CaTS)
Join our group of supportive girls every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month as we learn the fundamentals of coding through exploration and play. Participants will create their own games, build websites, work with robots and more during this interactive program. Code and Tech Stars (CaTS) is open to all 4th-6th grade girls; no prior coding experience necessary. The goal of this program is to help girls gain skills, confidence, and enthusiasm for coding.
CaTS is led by University of West Florida faculty with assistance from UWF student groups.
Each week participants will create a project using the skills acquired that day. The projects created each week will stand-alone, enabling students to skip weeks or join at any time throughout the year. All computers, robots, and equipment will be provided during the class.
All participants must register to attend each class. (Please call or email Valerie below in order to register.)
All participants must currently be in 4th-6th grade.
Note to Parents
Parent/guardians are not required to stay but must sign their child in and out each week.
