ABOVE CENTER: Staff of the Division of Finance and Administration participated in preparing dinner for the Ronald McDonald House of NW Florida. A meal of meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, biscuits and cake was served. Division Contributes to Argo Pantry
During the month of November, the Division of Finance and Administration participated in the Argo Pantry Adopt a Shelf Program, collecting Soup & Canned Meat. Through the donations, 67 students were fed! The Argo Pantry accepts nonperishable food items, personal care items, laundry detergent and school supplies. You can also send items directly to the Argo Pantry via Amazon or make a tax-deductible gift through the UWF Foundation. Learn More
UWF Departments in 11th Year of Nursing Home Project
Business and Auxiliary Services (including retirees), Internal Auditing, University Budgets, Controller’s Office, Procurement, Human Resources (and some General Counsel, Vice President and President’s Office staff), have jointly participated in a Nursing Home Project for the past 10 years at Christmas. This project helps to fill a void and provide gifts for theArcadia Health & Rehab Center to distribute to those in need within their facility. It is touching as well as rewarding for all of us to hear how appreciative they are of anything they receive. Gifts collected were delivered on Friday, December 7, 2018 by Linda Quina and Markus McGraw, Business and Auxiliary Services, as they have done in the past. The van was full and the nursing home staff were touched by the generosity! Arcadia handed out the gifts at their Christmas party on December 18.
